My Story
While my official bakery might have been founded only in 2023, I've been in the kitchen as soon as my mother trusted me not to burn the house down. From cakes to cookies and everything in between, I found a lot of joy experimenting with different flavors and bakes. While pastries might have been a passion, I chose a completely different study and career path in my early 20's. I graduated from the University of Central Missouri with a bachelor in business administration and minor in accounting. Following that career path straight out of college, I quickly realized I wouldn't be happy unless I worked in a creative field.Fast forward a few years and after bringing in pastries for everyone to try, the owners of the "The Service Station" gave me a chance and had me add my desserts to their menu, starting with just 1 dessert, to eventually curating a whole seasonally rotating menu. After receiving huge support from the community, I decided to take a chance and chase my dreams, by opening The Sugar Sorceress and sharing my love of food with all of you.
